Good Kayaking routes in NW LA

Hey everyone, I'm new to Kayaking and am looking for good routes in the north west Louisiana area. I've completed Bodcau float from the dam to Hwy 157 and Dorcheat from Dixie Inn to Hwy 164 so far. I have a ten foot SOT Magellan kayak,

We are looking at Red Chute and Dorcheat from Hwy 164 to Bistineau. Also checking out Bodcau from Wenk's Landing to Hwy 160.

If anyone has any info on those floats or any other in this area, I'd love to hear from you.

We did Bodcau Dam to Hwy 157 again yesterday. It was about 10 ft lower than last time. Had to hop out and drag the kayaks a couple times. It will need a lot more rain before it will be smooth cruising again.

Don't try Wenks Landing IT is riddle with tornado debris. It took us 7 hours to do 7 miles when we scope in out last summer. Use to be a great paddle but not now Huge trees all over the bayou we had to climb over and some under. MOSTLY OVER TREES

We did Wenk's to Crow lake rd and back, then on a 2nd trip did Crow Lake heading north. We got about 2/3 of a mile before running into the tree issue. We turned around and headed back south...

Do you (or any one else) have any info/advice on any of the Red Chute sections?

I do not have any info. I don't know of anyone that has done that section.

Sikes Ferry Hwy 2 Sarepta to Bobby Peterson park on Upper Dorcheat is a good paddle if it is above 10 ft. If not you will have to portage over a log jam. about 7-8 miles

Also can put in at Neely's Landing and paddle to Bobby Davis on David Peterson Road if it is under 10 ft.
